Family Winemakers... some Wows!

Postby Don Nuzzo » Fri Mar 16, 2012 1:08 pm

i was privileged to be helping in the pouring of one of my favorite wines at FW... Sojourn. Love everything Erich makes.. but that is for Sonoma Wine Talk.
I snuck away and went thru the line-up at Clos Pepe. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING was amazing... even the 30 year old chard out of magnum (made by The Hitching Post). Wes is on fire and I hope no one puts him out.
THen i managed to get Dave Core's attention but I only tasted the 07 Cuvee Fletcher. Well, that was enough if I could only taste one. Wow! This is a BIG wine with a tremendous texture and a long satisfying finish. What a great wine!
It just dawned on me... maybe I should be posting in Orcut WIne Talk...

Great picks Don...LOVED Wes' lineup and "Under the Table Special".

Dave was getting worked when I tried to come over and taste...didn't have the chance to come back around. I'll just have to get myself to Orcutt...and handout my new business cards for Orcutt Wine Talk.com!

Dave Core does a really nice Roussanne, GB, and Viognier blend. He's got some nice values he pushes through his tasting room too.
