TN's: 10 Amos Cellars Chardonnay, "The Churner"

Tonight we celebrated my in-law's 26th anniversary. We decided to take them to The Fish Market, which is one of their favorite venues. Knew we were going to sit on the deck that hangs over the water. Beautiful afternoon in San Diego...knew I had to bring a great bottle for my wife's mom. She loves chardonnay...I just happened to have a killer one handy!

2010 Amos Cellars Chardonnay, "The Churner"
Light yellow, grey. Some lemon, apple, touch of hazelnut, toast and pebbles. The acid is the star here. Grapefruit and lime, with killer mineral notes. This one seems to be a lot livelier than the last. Right up my ally.

Same fruit and blocks as the last (2009, 100% chardonnay, Edna Valley, Oliver's Vineyard (Talley Vineyards). Crazy good...

Again, this is made by hot-shot somm, Jon McDaniel. I suggest you get some. http://amoscellars.com
