Hello All:

I'm very happy to announce we have a new moderator on the board! He's super passionate and active in the community and is a regular contributor to the board. Please give a warm welcome to Steve Anderson!

A note from Steve:

I’m a relative newcomer to wine, having gotten the bug during a trip to Tuscany in 2005. I love to read and research, and discovered the “wine boards” as I tried to sort out the great wines I had in Italy. It was on boards like Parker and Wine Berserkers where I started reading great tasting notes from guys like Phil and Jim (Salvito) and decided, "I really needed to try these California Rhones they were often describing". It didn’t take long to get hooked and to start branching out. I’ve focused on California the past two years trying to learn as much as I can and to train/hone my palate, which is still a work in progress. I love the great wines of Santa Barbara County and half the joy is getting to know the winemakers who truly put their heart and soul into what they do. My goal as a member of the SBWT team is to help educate those who are not familiar with the great wines of SB County as I continue to educate myself.

Thanks Steve, we are so happy you decided to join the team!
