Brisas Del Mar - Santa Barbara

Spent Saturday night in Santa Maria and drove down to Santa Barbara on Sunday. Brisas Del Mar is an older "vintage" property about two blocks from the beach/harbor, and about 8 blocks from Stearns Wharf. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the property was extremely clean. Room was small, but comfortable - nice bed and shower, which are our primary needs. The only knock is that it was a bit noisy in the AM due to traffic. The hotel has a pool and offers wine/cheese in the late afteroon and milk/cookies in the evening. Continental breakfast was excellent and better than most. Seemed to be primarily European tourists as clientele.

Overall: A- I would recommend for location and service if you can get a good rate. Sunday rate was $169, which was pretty good for the location. We passed on the Saturday rate of about $300 and opted to stay in Santa Maria instead.
